Simulation game Japanese Rural life Adventure coming to Nintendo Switch

G-Mode and Game Start LLC have just announced that Japanese Rural Life Adventure will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. A release date has not yet been confirmed.

In Japanese Rural life Adventure, you’ll be playing as a resident in a Japanese village, newly moved from the city life. You’ll grow to leave a lasting impression on this town. Although this title has not yet been confirmed for a western release, the title will support English language options as well as Japanese, Korean, simplified and traditional Chinese, and others.

Japanese Rural Life Adventure is a relaxing slow-life simulation where you can experience the charm of traditional Japanese countryside living, all in a beautifully crafted pixel-art world.

■Game Overview

◆Live in the Japanese countryside surrounded by nature.
Fix up an old house, make the yard nice, grow your own crops, and become self-sufficient.

View the cherry blossoms in the spring;

attend the festival in the summer;

eat roasted sweet potatoes in the fall;

hear the temple bell ring in winter, and then it’s time for the first shrine visit of the New Year.

◆Self-Sufficiency: Hard Work, Deep Flavor
Rice — the essential source of energy for the people in Japan.

Salt, soy sauce, miso —- seasonings no Japanese kitchen can do without.

In this countryside, many things city dwellers take for granted must be made by hand.

By standing in the kitchen or cooking around the traditional irori hearth of your heritage home,

you can simulate preparing a wide variety of dishes and seasonings.

Food made through your own effort tastes extra special.

◆Bring back life to the village through various events
Many events unfold depending on the season, location, and time of day.

A villager might ask you to repair an old waterwheel,

or to help reopen a shuttered candy shop.

Strengthen your relationships with the locals and restore the liveliness the village once had.

As you complete requests and interact with the villagers, you may earn useful items or unlock new areas to explore.

Your journey begins as the protagonist, a newcomer from the city, starts a solitary life in an old countryside house.

Start by clearing the overgrown weeds, cleaning the floors, and repairing the “shoji” paper screens.

By the time you’ve completed the tutorial, you’ll have learned the basics of village life.

Each morning, an elderly woman visits to sell daily necessities, and each afternoon, a man arrives to buy items you no longer need. Buy and sell goods as you steadily gather everything required to thrive in the village and complete your missions.
