Solgaleo location guide in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Our coverage of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Legendary Pokemon continues yet again with a Solgaleo location guide, including its exact location on the Paldea map plus instructions on how to spawn it via the Indigo Disk DLC.
Solgaleo and its counterpart Lunala are the boxart Legendary Pokemon from Pokemon Sun and Moon. Cosmog isn’t available in this game unless you transfer it forward with Pokemon Home. In that case, Cosmog will evolve into Solgaleo if leveled up in Pokemon Scarlet and into Lunala if leveled up in Pokemon Violet.
Solgaleo location guide
All 25 returning Legendary Pokemon in The Indigo Disk are locked behind Snacksworth, an NPC who sort of slows the game down to a halt. Every time you finish 10 Solo Quests or 1 Group Quest, you will receive a random snack that spawns a Legendary Pokemon in Paldea at a specific location on the map. You’ll have to keep doing quests until you get the Solgaleo Snack. Once you’ve got that, the Solgaleo location will activate. This is probably the easiest one in the game.
As you can see above, Solgaleo is located on the top of the Pokemon League building. It’s directly southwest of the Great Crater of Paldea, so all you have to do is climb up. You’ll find Solgaleo sitting there, ready for a battle. It’s important to note that Solgaleo knows Flare Blitz and Wild Charge, which means it can easily KO itself if it winds up taking too much recoil damage. Make sure you save before you encounter Solgaleo – and be sure to bring a physically defensive Pokemon to sponge its attacks while you work on whittling it down and capturing it.
