Spinal Breakers is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch
Today, Hamster announced that it’s bringing Arcade Archives Spinal Breakers to Nintendo Switch. A worldwide release is set for tomorrow, June 12.
We originally saw Spinal Breakers way back in 1991. The shooting title, made by Video System, has players taking on enemies infected by an artificial lifeform.
Here’s an official overview with more details:
Spinal Breakers is an action shooting game released by Video System in 1991. Players take control of Colonel Waffle and battle through stages by defeating enemies infected by the artificial lifeform known as Hildroid. Dodge enemy attacks using the rotation button while aiming precisely to take them down. The game features three different endings, which vary depending on your performance throughout the playthrough.
The Arcade Archives series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.
