Splatoon 3 introduces its “charger” weapons
Nintendo’s drip feed of Splatoon 3 news continues, and the Big N has now provided a look at the game’s “charger” weapons.
These weapons, which build up power, can be used by pressing and holding ZR. You’ll then perform a powerful shot that can hit targets that are far away.
The Classic Squiffer, E-liter 4K, and Splat Charger have all been showcased for Splatoon 3 today. With the Classic Squiffer, you’re getting a balanced weapon with good range and medium charge time. The Classic Squiffer charges up very quickly, but has shorter range. And lastly, the E-liter 4k is on the opposite end with a long charging time, but a huge range – and it consumes a ton of ink.
You can get a look at the charger weapons – Classic Squiffer, E-liter 4K, and Splat Charger – in Splatoon 3 with the clips below.
This is the Splat Charger, a balanced weapon with good range and medium charge time. Our game-theory experts say that if you can attain the high ground with one of these, you're "going to go all splat-a-tat-tat on the other team." Is game theory science? We're no longer sure. pic.twitter.com/tGvalhPBBA

Finally, we have the E-liter 4k. This is the granddaddy of the chargers—a weapon with massive range that takes a long time to charge and consumes tremendous amounts of ink. It's not for everyone, but in the right hands, it can be devastating. pic.twitter.com/Hhg6KKJ50Y
