Stinger is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch

Hamster is gearing up for Arcade Archives Stinger on Nintendo Switch, the company has announced. A worldwide launch is scheduled for tomorrow, July 24.

Stinger first debuted way back in 1983. The game, a side-scrolling shooter, was the first title made by Seibu.

Here’s an official overview:

Stinger is shooter released by Seibu Kaihatsu in 1983. Take control of the “Stinger Wolf” and head to the center of an enemy base where evil life forms roam. In an emergency, you can call on the friendly robot “Bongo” to automatically destroy the enemy.

The “Arcade Archives” series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.
