Super Xevious is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch
As shared by Hamster, Super Xevious will be appearing on Nintendo Switch as the console’s latest Arcade Archives games. All major regions are getting it tomorrow, May 1.
Super Xevious only released in Japan in 1984. It’s actually very similar to the original Xevious, which was a vertical shoot ’em up title.
Here’s an official overview:
Super Xevious is a shooter released by Namco (Bandai Namco Entertainment) in 1984. Players pilot the Solvalou and face off with the Xevious forces. Defeat airborne enemies with the zapper, and terrestrial enemies with the blaster. This game has various changes from the previous game, including additional characters and different placement of hidden items.
The Arcade Archives series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.
