Switch-compatible 8BitDo Micro controller revealed
8BitDo has unveiled yet another product for its lineup, and this time the company is making one of its smallest Switch-compatible controllers ever – hence the “Micro” name.
The latest controller weighs just 24.8 grams and is 72 x 40.7 x 14.1 mm. It won’t do much for 3D games, but with the d-pad, it’ll be perfectly fine with 2D experiences. 16 buttons are included in total and it includes mode switching buttons. The lineup of buttons include A, B, X, Y, plus, minus, star, and checkered flag plus shoulder bumpers and triggers.
Apparently you’ll get about ten hours out of the 8BitDo Micro controller before it needs to be charged. You’ll need to wait for one to two hours for it to fully recharge, but you can plug it in via USB-C and it’ll still work when wired up.
Switch is naturally what we’re interested in here, but it works with Android and Raspberry Pi as well.
You can order the new 8BitDo Micro controller on Amazon here. Blue and green are the color options.
