Wildermyth Console Edition

After an initial appearance on PC, Worldwalker Games’ title Wildermyth is officially heading to Switch as a new Console Edition. It’ll be appearing on October 22, 2024.

Wildermyth was technically confirmed for Switch at the very end of 2021. However, now there’s been an official announcement as part of the “Console Edition”. The turn-based tactical RPG will feature a redesigned UI and controls, plus there’ll be a monster compendium and local cooperative multiplayer.

The character-driven, procedurally-generated tactical RPG Wildermyth will be making its way to Switch eventually, developer Worldwalker Games has confirmed. However, it will take some time to complete.

Worldwalker Games founder and programmer Nate Austin shared the news regarding Switch during the latest episode of the Thanks for the Knowledge podcast. However, Austin indicated that the porting process will take “at least a year.” That’s because Wildermyth is made with Java. Unfortunately, this is not supported on Switch for app development.
