Take-Two indicates it’ll continue supporting Switch
Despite recently cancelling the Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Take-Two doesn’t seem to be giving up on Switch.
GamesIndustry recently caught up with CEO Strauss Zelnick and asked about a variety of topics. As for plans for Switch going forward, Zelnick said: “Yes, I think we’ll continue to support it.”
Take-Two currently has LEGO 2K Drive lined up for Switch, which is just about to launch on the console. Star Wars Hunters is also in the works. It’s likely that the NBA 2K series will be back on Switch this year as well. However, Take-Two hasn’t committed to much beyond that.
As for Marvel’s Midnight Suns, that ended up being a bit of a rollercoaster for fans. Initially, the game was on track to launch in March 2022 before being delayed to the second half of that year. Then it received a new October 2022 release date, though the Switch version was announced to be following later.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns was cancelled for Switch earlier this month. An explanation about the decision was not provided.
