Tales of Symphonia Remastered confirmed to run at 1080p docked / 720p handheld, 30 FPS
Following its announcement yesterday, Bandai Namco has shared more details for Tales of Symphonia Remastered, their upcoming rerelease of the GameCube classic. Most notably, they’ve opened a website for the game, which provides some new information on how the game will run.
On Switch, Tales of Symphonia Remastered will run at 1080p docked and 720p in handheld mode, which isn’t too surprising. Slightly more interesting is that the game will run at 30 FPS across all platforms. While this makes a relative amount of sense for the Switch, it’s somewhat surprising that other platform versions won’t run at a higher frame-rate.
The website also confirmed a few other smaller details for the game. Namely, that the file size for the title will be 11 GB with 100 save files, that it’ll support up 4 players in local co-op for battles and that you can share Joy-Con to have a friend help you in battle.
Tales of Symphonia Remastered will launch in early 2023. A special Chosen Edition for the game was also announced, featuring an exclusive steelbook, art prints, and character stickers.
