Technikki’s Past side quest guide for Mario & Luigi: Brothership
Today, we’re looking at Technikki’s Past, the second-to-last missable side quest in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. This quest doesn’t come about until much later in the game – we only unlocked it at around 25 hours in, for instance. Given how late in the game this quest comes up, there are some spoilers involving what parts of the game you’ll need to have cleared before you can unlock it. If you’re looking to avoid all spoilers, then feel free to bookmark this post and come back later.
Technikki’s Past side quest guide
After you come back from Offandon Island for the first time, you’ll be tasked with reconnecting Twistee Island and Heatfreeze Island. Once you’ve reconnected both of them, you can find Technikki on Shipshape Island, and talking to her will begin the Technikki’s Past side quest. Snoutlet will suggest you go to her lab at Merrygo Island, so do just that. Thankfully, you can skip the maze by taking the shortcut across the flowers. Once there, watch the scene that plays out and you’ll be thrown into a battle against some Glohm-infested enemies. By this point, you’ll have just obtained the new Bros. Moves Clockout Blow and Yoo Who Cannon (returning from Bowser’s Inside Story), making this a great time to try them out. Once you’ve defeated these enemies, you can take the note that was on Technikki’s door and return it to her to complete the Technikki’s Past quest. In exchange, you’ll receive a Technikki Wrench accessory, which increases your BP by 30% and your attack power by 10%, but lowers your max HP by 20%.
