The Godfeather release date set for August, new trailer

After it was previously announced for Switch, The Godfeather was given a release date today. Hojo Studio says it’s planned for August 15, 2024.

The Godfeather, a mafia pigeon roguelike, was announced for Switch nearly a year ago. While the team missed out on its original early 2024 target, the game is only a month or so away now.

Here’s an overview of the title:

In The Godfeather, players take on the role of an associate in the pigeon mafia, tasked with taking back “the old neighborhood” – from all enemies of the organization – human and bird alike. How do pigeon assassins take out their targets? With poop, of course.

Featuring procedurally generated levels across three expansive environments, thrilling boss fights, pigeon cosmetics to earn and pigeon upgrades to unlock, The Godfeather is a hilarious, challenging roguelike for the little mafia pigeon in all of us.

The game will be sold digitally on the Switch eShop for $12.99. Pre-orders begin on July 11.
