Touchdown Fever is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch

Hamster has confirmed the latest Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch, which is Touchdown Fever. It arrives tomorrow, January 8. Note that there is no native Nintendo Switch 2 version, but it’ll work on the console via backwards compatibility. 

SNK was behind the original launch of Touchdown Fever. The 1987 title is a sports game based on American football.

Touchdown Fever is a sports game released by SNK in 1987. Tap the buttons to push forward – simple controls make it easy to enjoy the flow of American football. With over a hundred formations selected automatically, even beginners unfamiliar with detailed tactics can relax and enjoy the game.

The Arcade Archives series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time.
