Digital Foundry has taken a different approach to its latest Switch technical analysis. Rather than focusing on one game, the outlet has instead examined four: Travis Strikes Again, Octahedron, Battle Princess Madelyn, and Firewatch.
Here are some of the more interesting tidbits:

– Mostly steady 60 frames per second
– A few dips here and there

– Decent anti-aliasing
– 480p in portable mode
– Frame rate stable when in handheld mode
– Resolution appears to be fixed rather than dynamic

– Changes were needed, but led to a more optimized game
– Switch was apparently the easiest platform for the team to work with
– Almost no loading times
– Perfect 60 frames per second
– A lot of work put into the audio mix to ensure the highest quality
Battle Princess Madelyn
– Built in Unity
– Performance is mostly steady, but performance starts to buckle in a few sections
– Game targets 60 FPS
– Upcoming patch may improve performance
– Story mode will be changed with updates
