Trine 2: Goblin Menac expansion announced, will be included in Director’s Cut

Frozenbyte made a new Trine 2 announcement at Gamescom 2012 today. The game will be getting a new Goblin Menace expansion that offers six original levels, new skills, and general improvements and tweaks.

Goblin Menace will make its debut on Steam this fall. The expansion will also be included in Trine 2: Director’s Cut for the Wii U eShop.

Helsinki, Finland – 16 August 2012 – Finnish game developer Frozenbyte is proud to unveil the upcoming expansion to its action adventure game Trine 2 at gamescom 2012 in Cologne, Germany. A new trailer has been released to show how Trine 2: Goblin Menace is an all-new campaign spanning six unique levels, further improving the award-winning visuals of the original Trine 2. In addition, Goblin Menace features new skills that are also playable in the original game, and all the general improvements and tweaks will be available to all players.

At gamescom, Trine 2: Goblin Menace is playable at the Valve booth, C030 (Hall 7.1).

Trine 2: Goblin Menace will debut on Steam in the fall 2012. Trine 2: Goblin Menace will also be included in Trine 2: Director’s Cut for Nintendo’s Wii U™ system, coming later this year. More information, including additional platforms, release date and pricing, will be announced later.
