Turtle Tale now planned for Wii U as well
In addition to 3DS, Turtle Tale is now slated for Wii U. Developer Saturnine Games sent the 3DS version off recently and then began experimenting with Wii U. The console version “is coming along very quickly”, though a release date is a long ways off.
Saturnine Games wrote on Twitter today:
After sending Turtle Tale off to 3DS lot check, it seemed like a good time to look into Wii U. pic.twitter.com/p1pEKt51nI

It's still too early to guess at a release date, but the WIi U version of Turtle Tale is coming along very quickly.

Saturnine Games’ Edward Di Geronimo also tweeted out some positive thoughts about working with Wii U:
Early thoughts on Wii U dev… the system is really, really easy to develop for. Took about a week to get the 3DS game running on it.

Also rather impressed with the architecture of the Wii U. No obvious trouble spots. Seems very well balanced.

My gut says I'll focus on 3DS more on future games, but with how easy porting to Wii U was, I'll almost certainly hit both platforms.

@pxlplz It's not THAT fast! I think you can play the entire game on Wii U now, but lotcheck would rip it to shreds…
