Twitter / X reveals top games, top gaming hashtags of 2024

New data has been released which reveals the top games and top hashtags of 2024 on Twitter / X.

This comes from the Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025. Aaron Kobes, head of gaming for APAC at X, shared the data during a presentation.

For Nintendo specifically, there’s not much in terms of the top games. However, there are some Nintendo-related franchises / titles here, including Final Fantasy, Fortnite, and Minecraft.

Hashtags is where things get a bit more interesting. Nintendo Switch comes in at #5 while Pokemon is a couple of spots down below that.

Going into more general discussion, gaming is one of the most popular topics on Twitter / X with 905 billion impressions (only sports had more). Japan was the top market for volume followed by the United States in second and Korea in third.
