Ubisoft invites the world to “Just Dance”
New Dance Video Game Launching Holiday 2009
Paris, FRANCE – August 18, 2009 – Today Ubisoft® announced it will launch Just Dance™ this holiday season, a new dance video game for the Nintendo® Wii™. Developed by Ubisoft Paris, Just Dance will challenge all those who like to groove, entertaining spectators along the way.Requiring only one Wii™ Remote per player, up to four people can break it down at a time, as they follow on-screen choreographed moves set to classic dance tracks, covering a wide variety of musical genres and bringing everyone to the dance floor. Whether it’s a group of 15 year-old girls who just want to have fun, a high school reunion dance from the class of ‘92 needing to pump up the jam or Generation Xers who truly believe the groove is in the heart, Just Dance is the ultimate dance game for everyone.
“Just Dance is a fun game for all ages where players will learn real dance moves set to classic and modern songs across all genres they know and love,” said Yves Guillemot, chief executive officer of Ubisoft. “The concept is simple and whether players are looking for fun, exercise or a good time with friends and family, we feel everyone will enjoy Just Dance.”
The game features more than 30 licensed tracks, ranging from iconic dance hits such as “U Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer to modern day pop with “Hot N Cold (Rock Version)” by Katy Perry. With more songs to be revealed soon, this game will easily be one of the most diverse video game soundtracks ever assembled.
Visitors to GamesCom in Cologne from August 19th through 23rd are invited to Just Dance at the Ubisoft booth (Stand A41, A51 Hall 7). The game will be previewed for press and public with a selection of tracks such as:
