Thanks to GamesIndustry, we have new insight into the UK gaming market for August 2023.
In terms of hardware, Switch sales fell 5 percent compared to last month. Overall sales for the year have slipped by 10 percent, and though it’s slowing down, the system isn’t seeing a massive drop-off yet.
FIFA 23 was the best-selling game of the month, but you might be surprised to hear that the Switch version received a surge in sales – that’s thanks to an eShop discount. Red Dead Redemption also managed to crack the top five with its recent re-release.
