Thanks to GamesIndustry, we have new insight into the UK gaming market for November 2022.
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet performed huge as expected. Both games (plus the double pack) would have ended up at #3 on the latest sales chart had they been combined. This also isn’t counting digital data. Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet had the second biggest launch for a Pokemon game in UK history – only Sun and Moon did better.
On the hardware front, Switch was the best-selling console. The system’s sales rose 175 percent month-on-month. The recently-released Switch OLED for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet comprised 8 percent of all Switch consoles sold. As another factor, many Black Friday deals were in place for Switch.
