Nippon Columbia has announced a new veterinarian-styled game “Wan Nyan Doubutsu Byouin: Pet o Tasukeru Daiji-na Oshigoto”, or ‘Woof Meow Animal Hospital: An Important Job to Help Pets’ in English. The game will launch in Japan on July 2nd for 4,800 yen. Here’s an overview of the title thanks to Gematsu, collected from Nippon Columbia. We’ve also added screenshots below:
Become a Veterinarian and Help Out Injured and Sick Pets
The player works for an animal hospital that specializes in cats and dogs, where they will work alongside the kind hospital director and senior doctors to treat the injured and sick pets that come to the hospital each day. Dialogue scenes are partly-voiced, adding a greater sense of individuality to each character.
Key Features
- Medical Examination Mode – In previous entries, the player mainly performed medical treatments, but in this game, a medical examination mode has been added as a new feature to closely examine each pet’s injury or illness. In this mode, you can observe and feel the pet’s body, as well as utilize medical equipment such as the stethoscope, thermometer, and X-ray. Through comments from the pet owner and advice from senior doctors, you yourself can determine the cause of the pet’s condition.
- 20 Minigames – After examining a pet, you can treat their injury or sickness through minigames. The pressure of skillfully handling a pet as not to irritate it and the sense of accomplishment you get from treating are some of the charms of this game.
- Relax on Your Days Off and Experience a Small Bit of Grown-Up Life – On your days off, you can go shopping in town, get your hair done at the hair salon, relax at the cafe, and experience an “grown-up’s day off” with the money you earned at the hospital.
