Video: Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Nintendo Switch 2 vs. PS4 comparison
A new video comparison has come in for the just-released Nintendo Switch 2 version of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, putting it up against the older PS4 release.
Aspyr surprised fans with today’s announcement. Alongside the reveal, the game received a shadowdrop on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.
ElAnalistaDeBits reports that from a technical perspective, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is better on Nintendo Switch 2. For one thing, the game has a higher resolution on the Nintendo console. Additionally, while both target 60 frames per second, there were drops on PS4.
Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t stack up quite as well when it comes to pure graphics. Although it seems to add some trees, there are various cuts – quality of the hair, shadows, vegetation, and global lighting. Since Tomb Raider also came to Nintendo Switch 1 today, the consensus is that Aspyr based the Switch 2 version after it rather than the PS4 version.
