Vigil Games given “strict gag order”, can’t talk about Wii U until E3
There’s an obvious reason as to why there has been a lack of significant Wii U news in the last year. Nintendo wanted all developers and publishers to keep quiet about the console until this year’s E3, when the company will finally be ready to blow the lid off everything.
So it really isn’t surprising that Vigil Games creative manager Jeremy Greiner has relayed the message that the studio can’t talk about the Wii U version of Darksiders II yet. He’s been given “a strict gag order”, meaning he can’t say much about the game or the console itself.
Greiner said:
“If I didn’t have a strict gag order on me, I’d love to talk about all the great features that we have, but what I can tell you is that it’s a next generation platform, and you should keep your eyes open. We’ll obviously be using the unique controller that it has to its utmost potential, but speaking to specific features or tech effects… well, that’s in Nintendo’s playground right now. And I know that they have plans for E3.”
