Voting results from Nintendo’s 78th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders
Last week, Nintendo’s 78th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders was held in Japan. It featured a very brief presentation, a Q&A session, and a vote. It was here where new president Shuntaro Furukawa was sworn in as Nintendo’s new president, taking over for Tatsumi Kimishima.
Below are the full voting results of the vote:
Shigeru Miyamoto (Representative Director, Fellow): 97.37 %
Shinya Takahashi (Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer): 97.28 %
Shuntaro Furukawa (Representative Director and President): 96.51 %
Ko Shiota (Director, Senior Executive Officer): 97.28 %
Satoru Shibata (Director, Senior Executive Officer): 97.28 %
One interesting tidbit – the last Nintendo president, Tatsumi Kimishima, had an approval rating of 87.14 % in his first year as president.
