Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition backwards compatibility now fixed on Nintendo Switch 2
Good news for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition players on Nintendo Switch 2: the game has been fixed for complete backwards compatibility on the system.
For the most part, the RPG did work as intended on the new system. However, Nintendo previously identified issues with the game when playing on Nintendo Switch 2. That mainly came down to voices going out of sync.
Moving forward, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition should work perfectly on Nintendo Switch 2. The game’s Nintendo eShop page has been updated, indicating that all previous problems have been fixed.
It actually took Nintendo quite some time to take care of the issue. Fans starting to reporting problems around the launch of Nintendo Switch 2, which was back in June. Now almost half a year later, everything has been sorted out.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is out now both physically and digitally. For those interested in the game’s connections to the rest of the series, check out this post.
