Yoshi’s Island icons added to Nintendo Switch Online

Starting today, Nintendo Switch Online members can get their hands on Yoshi’s Island icons.
This is another instance of a game being tied to playing. Before gaining access to the icons, you’ll need to boot up Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island on the SNES app. Then you’ll be able to access the full set – of which there are only five. Characters are available for 10 Platinum Points each via My Nintendo.
It was last month that Nintendo introduced icons that can be unlocked for playing games. Designs for Super Mario World were made available for a few weeks. Additionally, Animal Crossing: New Horizons icons returned in this fashion. You can get the full rundown here.
The Yoshi’s Island icons on Nintendo Switch Online will be live until May 6, 2024.
