You can use the standard Wiimote in Pikmin 3

Pikmin 3 offer a number of control options, one of which allows for Wiimote and nunchuck inputs. But you don’t need Wii MotionPlus in order to use this scheme. It may not work as well, but it’s possible to use a standard Wii controller (the original model) with the game.
