Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Switch touchscreen controls not working properly
If you’ve recently booted up Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on Switch, you may have noticed that touchscreen controls are no longer working.
Numerous players reports are circulating about the issue. It seems that the problem can be traced back to the latest update. Apparently touch controls do work, but only for scrolling through text boxes and menus. When in actual duels, they don’t do anything – which is the main appeal.
You’d have to think that this is a bug introduced in the latest update. It’s extremely unlikely that Konami would intentionally disable touchscreen controls for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on Switch. Being able to use touch in battles is the main appeal. The game still functions the Joy-Con work, but many players don’t prefer that option.
It’s possible that the touchscreen controls will be enabled again with a future patch, assuming this was a mistake on Konami’s part. Keep in mind that if you’ve installed the latest update, there’s not much you can do. If you haven’t, then you’ll want to make sure that you don’t update and stay on the previous version.
