Little bit of off-screen Super Mario Odyssey footage shows off a couple of areas

A bit of off-screen Super Mario Odyssey footage has been making the rounds today. It doesn’t show true gameplay, but it does provide a look at a couple of areas in the game. What’s funny about this discovery is that the footage was actually shown during the Nintendo Switch Experience in Japan from January, but is only just being noticed now. In any case, watch the video below.

Not too sure about the skyscraper, but the desert part definitively looks new. Or it’s at least in an area we haven’t seen.

Them Japanese and their masks. How do they breath normally in this things I try those doctor’s mask for a while and o feel like I’ll choke to death if I don’t take them off

If you’re talking about those white face masks they usually wear them for one of two reasons. Either A. They’re sick and don’t want to infect other people, or B. There’s something going around, so they use them to keep themselves from being sick. As well as when other sickly people.

I wonder if they also use them to avoid their face being recorded too :).

I work with a few korean interns and they wear the masks because they’re working outside on a golf course and they have allergies. I think it’s just a common way to deal with allergies for them.

They also sometimes where it to cover their identity. There is some weird bias there sometimes about salarymen being there and even having second jobs so they cover their faces while going to these places or working on Youtube for example

That’s makes a nice photo booth, I’ll admit.

I’m noticing polish on this that wasn’t in the trailer. Like the dirt particle effects Mario kicks up in the desert. Looks really good.
