all reviews is either bias or paid reviews.. so there is not much to see here folks, move along…

    • Ninty Kad

or people just like to double dip…

tbh, I was expecting lower reviews, but this is nice for anyone who didn’t but the Wii U.

      • ForeVision

And even for those who did, since I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the Wii-U player-base would now go to the Switch. It’s the new additions and the fact that the longevity between MK8 and MK8 Deluxe will in MK8 Deluxe no doubt. Plus it has Dry Bones, which is my favourite character 😛

          And King Boo.

        • And the Inklings

Lets not forget Link (which he was DLC in the Wii U Version). I really hope he is included in future Mario Kart games.

All your comments are hate or bad trolling…so there is not much to see here folks, move along…

    • hi v3.0

Nintendo is the least likely company to pay reviewers you know..

    • Bruno_Ostara

Gosh, not only wastes time trolling around but upvoted it’s own comment, now that’s just sad

    • AJK

Yes. Literally everyone who disagrees with your retarded brain is brasses or paid off lol.

    • But it wasn’t a problem when Last Of Us Remastered got a 95 on Metacritic now was it? Whenever a remastered Nintendo 1st party title gets a good score there’s a complaint. Maybe MK8 Deluxe got great scores because it has more improvements over the original. All of this bias and paid reviews talk is straight nonsense

younger and younger kids use the internet these days. I think everyone gives too much credit to someone whose probably a kid whose mommy won’t buy them another system. classic flawed console wars bs.

    • Can someone send her back to Hogwarts? She needs to go back to Hogwarts.

      • Tlink7

They probably expelled her …with good reason, seeing as how she behaves here 😀

  • Ninty Kad

I was not expecting THIS high of review, considering that this is a expanded port.

    • Billy Bob Throrton

it’s called reviewing the actual game, not the moronic internet stigma

  • Exposer

I didnt expect this score, honestly.

Imho, the Mario Kart formula built for Mario Kart 8 is near perfect. Really, what else could they do to make it “better” without introducing a weird gimmick or breaking the game away from what makes it Mario Kart?

The come-back of dual item holding is a good addition that fleshes out the game, as well as the new pink drift boost.

The graphics are seriously as good as they could get. Even if the Switch were more powerful, these are Nintendo characters in a Mario world, so there’s not much they can do to make a meaningful difference.

    • TDude73

Your review is as excellent as the other critics given 9’s and 10’s, Kenshin! Definitely a must buy!

    • ibo

      how about more tracks..

      • Kenshin0011

Yes I think they should have included two new cups. Although I expect DLC.

        • ibo

i got the feeling there will be no DLC for this game..

    • ibo

the graphics could be better… anti aliasing would be nice..
i have notice the game still has jagged edges on curved lines..

      • Kenshin0011

Sure, but this is the most Switch can do.

I am speaking that in general, the graphic art and design is just about as beat as it can be for a game like this, even if on PC.

        • Indielink

I very much doubt this is the most the Switch can do. I think this is a pretty similar case to BoTW where Nintendo is trying to fit a round peg in a square hole in terms of architecture. They likely recoded some things and then are using the extra power of the Switch to brute force it up to 1080/60.

I do agree though that in terms of style there likely isn’t much that can be done to improve it. Maybe higher res and more detailed textures but it is near perfect.

And to ibo, lack of anti-aliasing is a weird Nintendo thing. They don’t include it in ANY of their games.

    • Tlink7

I would like more tracks 😀 I also really liked having two racers in one kart in Double Dash!!, but I can live without the latter

  • TDude73

9’s and 10’s all across the board. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is another must buy for the Nintendo Switch! Excellent work to the development team at Nintendo EPD!

Guide to Switch have the library with most rating reviews ever:
1- Port every single exclusive from WiiU, as there have great quality, such as Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade X, Pokkén, W101, Super Smash, Tokyo Mirage Sessions and much more.

    • hi v3.0

      Bruh that’s actually kinda true

      • ronin4life

Which makes it all the more obvious how badly WiiU and Nintendo were cheated this last gen…

    • W101 and TMS? Fat chance

  • hi v3.0

Well that was more than I expected

  • See you all in some online battles!!!

    • Aline Piroutek

      *paid online battles

      • TDude73

        *This Fall, Aline.

      • I personally have no problem with paying for quality digital services and online content.

I subscribe to multiple services and am a patron for a few Patreon users

        • Aline Piroutek

Haha, at least here the online paid mode isn’t overpriced as consoles and games.

  • Tlink7

As expected, MK8 was the best MK if you didn’t really care about battle mode; but now it has that too, so it is the greatest for everyone 😀
