Splatoon 2 – Squid Sisters Stories – chapter 6

Posted on May 15, 2017 by (@NE_Brian) in News, Switch

Nintendo is back with the continuation of the Squid Sisters Stories for Splatoon 2. This new initiative intends to tell the tale of Callie and Marie following the final Splatfest.

Read up on the sixth chapter in the story below. For previous entries, head on over here.

The next day found Marie waiting at the station for Callie’s arrival. When the train pulled in, though, Callie wasn’t on board.

“I bet she totally overslept again,” Marie thought as she settled in to wait for the next train.

Callie was not on the next train though, nor the one after that, or the one after that. Night fell and there was still no sign of her.

Marie called Callie’s office and was told that she’d headed straight home from work the previous evening.

“She seemed a bit flustered, but I figured she was just in a hurry to get back to Calamari County,” Callie’s manager said.

Marie tried their apartment several times, but no one picked up. Marie began to feel panic rising in her chest.
The following morning, Marie cut her trip short and returned to Inkopolis on the first train of the day. She hated to leave her parents so suddenly but couldn’t shake feeling worried about Callie. Plagued by a sense of unease, she spent the whole trip on her phone, searching for some clue as to Callie’s whereabouts. Her efforts failed to turn up anything to calm her fears.

When she arrived in Inkopolis, Marie headed straight for their apartment. The place looked exactly as she’d left it. In fact, there was no sign Callie had been home at all since Marie left for her trip. But if she hadn’t come home, where could she have gone? After giving it some thought, Marie got an idea and hurried out of the apartment.

      Callie had to go…

      • Ninty Kad

        Yeah no, my dude.

          o h great blue puff is back…

          • Ninty Kad

I got a nickname? Am I one of the cool kids now?! 😀

          • TruExtent

ALL HAIL THE GREAT BLUE PUFF. MAY HE EVER BE A COOL KID AND HIS OPINION SO GREAT! ;D

    • Coonfoot

I thought for sure that I blocked you…

    • O.H. X-1990

Callie is not dead, brainless kid, Nintendo never said anything about her death at all.

      • Hermione Granger

        Ok, smart adult.

  • Tlozbj

So the most probable is that Callie went to see Cap’n Cuttlefish, found that Octavius had escaped/Octolings were there, then something happened to Cap’n which is why Marie is wearing a funeral garb in the reveal trailer

    • Hermione Granger

Or she got assassinated on the bus.

      • Ninty Kad

A tad bit extreme, don’t you think?

        • Hermione Granger

          No

        • Exposer

          Dont listen to him

    • Hidden Flare

I can see Callie being in the hidden area from the first game, and maybe the cap’n died too but not sure about much else though I can see it being possible.

  • TruExtent

I mean I totally Team Marie… but not at the cost of losing Callie entirely! PLEASE DON’T BE DEAD! (She’s probably not dead.)

    • Hermione Granger

      rip, she will be remembered

      • DeltaPeng
      • TruExtent

Call me crazy, but I’ll go on believing she’ll be alive. This is a Nintendo game we’re talking about.

        • All of the Champions and the king died in BotW. Also Link died but was brought back to life.

          • TruExtent

You got me there…. But you also aren’t helping the fight against Granger. I’m trying to equate this closer to a Mario game where no main characters really die. But you are right. Zelda, Metroid, Xenoblade, Kid Icarus Uprising (sort of)… All have examples of big deaths.

          • The thing is, those are all examples of more mature and serious games. Games like Mario and Kirby are much more light hearted. Of course, Splatoon does have serious stories such as this story, so I would say it is in between serious and light hearted. I highly doubt that Callie is dead, but I do believe Cuttlefish is dead.

        • Hermione Granger

          no way fam

      • hi v3.0

Lol I doubt Nintendo will kill her

  • Eagle367

So thankfully not a train crash cliché but something was gonna go wrong I knew that much

  • Kaine Morrison

    Called it!

  • hi v3.0

    CALLIE IS KIDNAPPED!!!

  • O.H. X-1990

Eh, Callie is still sore because she lost the final Splatfest, that’s why she didn’t show up. Yeah, that’s gotta be it.

    • Ninty Kad

The sad part is people honestly believe this…

  • Ninty Kad

Call me crazy, But I have a strong feeling these stories all lead up to this next Splatoon 2 trailer, which will focus on the single player.
