Super Mario Odyssey sells over 500,000 copies in Japan during first three days, Switch sales top 2 million

Nintendo mentioned as part of its financial results briefing that Super Mario Odyssey sold over 2 million copies in its first 3 days. But what about Japan specifically?

Famitsu reports that Super Mario Odyssey sold 511,625 copies in its first 3 days in Japan. Switch also sold 133,094 units this past week. Thanks to that, the system has now surpassed 2 million units sold in the country.
