THQ Nordic working on two projects for Switch

Posted on December 3, 2016 by (@NE_Brian) in News, Switch

THQ Nordic is developing two projects for Switch. That’s according to the company’s Business & Product Development Director, Reinhard Pollice, who we recently had the chance to interview.

After Nintendo released the announcement video for Switch, an image was published showing that several companies are on board. Of course, THQ Nordic was included. Now we can say that the publisher is planning multiple games for the upcoming platform.

THQ Nordic owns the rights to a stable of franchises. Darksiders, de Blob, Deadly Creatures, Legend of Kay, and Destroy All Humans! are just a few of the IPs in the company’s possession.

Our full interview with Pollice will be added to the site soon.

Cool they actually own a handful of decent ip so I’m pretty excited for official announcements

  • KnightWonder

    Darksiders 3…Darksiders 3…Darksiders 3…

  • Wendigo

I kinda want Deadly Creatures 2

    • jimmy

Loved that game, so original and so underrated

My guess is that at least one of those games will be a Darksiders remaster, be it the first or second one (or both).

    • KnightWonder

We’re already getting Darksiders Warmastered and got Darksiders 2 at launch of the WiiU.

True but Warmastered is delayed indefinitely and Darksiders 2 got a “deathinitive” (definitive) edition on PS4 and XBone. I believe and hope at least one of them will be on there.

And I expect at least one of those two games to end up on the Switch.

Darksiders Warmastered Edition isn’t out on WiiU and who knows if it will. I hope so.

  • Tlink7

A Darksiders would be nice, one that doesn’t have frame tearing preferably 😛

  • jimmy

A sequel to all those games 😀

  • Locky Mavo

“Developing 2 projects” sounds like they’re some new games then, that’s cool to hear.

  • Felipe M.

Is Darksiders Warmastered Edition still being released on the WiiU? I’ve tried to contact Nordic about a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ but never got a reply.

    • Jacob Groves

Let them reveals when they want not you!!

      • Felipe M.

Wrong. The game was originally meant to be released on November 22 but it actually only came out for PS4 and Xbox.

Maybe the Wii U version has trouble running even at 30fps or whatever.

  • ForeVision

Ahh all the interesting news, I wonder how much of it will fit in the 12th of January….

  • HunsonAbadeer

Don’t get too exited its just both Darksiders remasters for Nintendo Switch.

  • Brand Dolphin

    Battle for Bikkini Bottom remastered?

    • Coonfoot

I wish! Maybe when they get back the rights to make Nick games… (that’d be the happiest day of my life)
