E3 2014 attendance up slightly, exhibitors count falls
E3 attendance is up slightly year-over-year. According to the Entertainment Software Association, 48,900 attendees appeared at the 2014 expo. That’s up a tiny bit from last year’s count of 48,200.
Although attendance grew, the amount of exhibitors shrunk, dipping from 230 in 2013 to 200 this year.
ESA president Michael Gallagher said in a statement:
“The video game industry’s explosive growth and technological innovation were front and center at E3 2014. Video games are the most innovative and engaging force driving our culture and entertainment experiences the world over. Congratulations to our incredibly creative members, partners, exhibitors, and the hundreds of millions of gamers who engaged with the show online and through social media.”
As was confirmed yesterday, E3 2015 will take place between June 16 and June 18.
