Art from unused Eternal Darkness endings pops up, drawings of untitled Silicon Knights project
NeoGAF member Mama Robotnik has made some rather neat discoveries on John Dobbie’s Behance profile. Dobbie once worked for Silicon Knights as an Environmental Artist. The first round of art – which can be seen above – shows drawings for the unused endings in Eternal Darkness. Here’s a rundown of each piece:
Photo 1
This concept piece was used as the blueprint for one of the 3 main endings of Eternal Darkness. The image shows what might happen to the planet if the Chattur’gha god took over the world. It was drawn in pencil and digitally painted in Photoshop.
Photo 2
This is concept piece done for a potential ending of Eternal Darkness. It depicts a zombie apocalypse after the Ulyaoth god takes over the world. It was drawn in pencil, roughly rendered in marker, then digitally touched up in Photoshop.

This is concept piece done for a potential ending of Eternal Darkness. This is an environment idea if the Ulyaoth god took over the world and created bizarre landscapes from the bones and remains of earths inhabitants. It was a small thumbnail drawing done in pencil, then coloured and digitally touched up in Photoshop.

The next gallery, which features art from an untitled Silicon Knights game, is arguably just as interesting. The project is more or less a mystery, though it’s possible the title would have been for the GameCube, as Dobbie left the company before they moved over to the Xbox 360.
