The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story getting physical release in Japan with English support
Unsurprisingly, The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story is digital-only in North America and Europe. In Japan, however, Square Enix intends to make a physical version available. And fans in the west will be happy to hear that English support is included.
The physical version of The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story can be played on any Switch system regardless of region. Other than English, it also supports Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Square Enix announced The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story back in February. It’s a live-action mystery-adventure title that “centers around the ill-fated Shijima family, who have experienced a chain of inexplicable deaths in their family over the past century.” You’ll play as the mystery novelist Haruka Kagami and use deduction to uncover the truth behind four murder cases that have taken place in the Shijima household over the last one hundred years. It’s directed by Koichiro Ito (Metal Gear Solid V) and produced by Junichi Ehara (NieR: Automata). Additionally, Yasuhito Tachibana (Netflix’s The Naked Director) is acting as cinematographer and scenario director.
Play-Asia has pre-orders for the physical version of The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story on Switch here. The title launches on May 12, 2022.
