How to get the Money Money Badge in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
The Money Money Badge is one of the most useful Badges Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has to offer. It drastically increases the number of Coins you earn after a battle, and there are two instances of these Badges that you can collect. You can get the first one by grinding Piantas at the Pianta Parlor, which is fairly self-explanatory. The second one, however, is given as a prize via a Boo in the Creepy Steeple. If you can pass his quiz, you’ll eventually receive a second Money Money Badge.
Money Money Badge location
The Boo that gives you the Money Money Badge is located in the Creepy Steeple’s secret room. To get there, enter the Steeple through the front door and then enter roll mode. There’s a small entrance at the north end of the room right near the front door, so roll through and you’ll find this Boo waiting here. He gives you a total of six different quizzes, and you get a reward for completing each one perfectly. If you happen to get an answer wrong, leave the secret room and then return and he’ll give you another chance.
You’ll need to sit through a few quizzes before you can get the Money Money Badge. For the first quiz, answer Gus, Gloomer, and Peachy Peach in that order to receive a Boo Sheet. For the second one, answer Four Hits, Toad, and Thriff T. in that order to get a Peachy Peach. In the third quiz, answer Shell Earrings, Improbably Large, and Royal Poshley Park Tower for an Ice Storm. To receive a Shooting Star from the fourth quiz, answer Sylvia, Space Food, and Crystal Star. Then, to receive an Ultra Mushroom from the fifth quiz, answer Younger Sister, Kolorado, and Left-Facing Puni in that order.
The sixth quiz includes a ton of questions, but you get the Money Money Badge as your reward! Answer Junior, Pungent, Podler, The Hand-It-Overs, HAMMAWHACK 2005, 10, Heff T., Spinia, Honey Mushrooms, 5 O’Clock, Rob, X-Yux, Dark Wizzerd, Three, and then 200 in that order to get all the questions right. From there, you’ll receive the Money Money Badge and can equip it right away to earn more Coins! This is especially helpful in the Pit of 100 Trials, which winds up having some of the toughest enemies in the game. It doesn’t work against bosses, though.
