Tantalus is the developer behind Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD
The developer behind Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD has been revealed, and it turns out that Tantalus Media was in charge of the port.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 first came to the 3DS in 2013, though in North America it was known as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. Next Level Games developed that title as well as Luigi’s Mansion 3. After working on Mario Strikers: Battle League, Next Level should be handling a completely new game.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD continues the run of Nintendo keeping quiet about the specific teams behind its releases. However, information has been found in the credits. Tantalus is specifically listed as the developer behind Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD.
Nintendo and Tantalus started their relationship in 2016 with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD in 2016. The company also made Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for Switch in 2021. Tantalus also ported third-party games to the console, including Sonic Mania, Rime, and Cities: Skylines.
