Luigi's Mansion 2 HD release date

March 10: In celebration of MAR10 Day, Nintendo just announced the release date for Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. The game launches on June 27, 2024.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD was announced for Switch in June 2023. Most recently, it had a Summer 2024 launch window.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD for Switch is going head-to-head with the 3DS original as part of a new graphics comparison video, courtesy of GameXplain.

Simply boosting the resolution is an easy win for Switch given how limited the display was on Nintendo’s older portable. Apart from that though, we’re able to see that some assets have been touched up. But other areas of the game – notably models – are very comparable to the previous 3DS edition.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD just got its proper reveal during today’s Nintendo Direct, and the official boxart is now available above. We also have a new set of screenshots.

We have an update on the new Switch version of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon thanks to today’s Nintendo Direct, and the game is now confirmed to be titled Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. The game is slated for Summer 2024.

It’s not been too long since we last heard about the game, which is a visually enhanced version of the original, as it was made known during the June Nintendo Direct. That news was shared alongside a bunch of other Mario news – notably Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario RPG, and the new Princess Peach title.

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon originally released on 3DS in 2013, so the game will be making its return just over a decade later.

The 3DS game Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is on the way to Switch, Nintendo has revealed. It will launch in 2024.

Nintendo is officially describing the release as a “visually enhanced” version of the game. More information will be shared in the future.

Shigeru Miyamoto delivered a personal piece of artwork to Next Level Games earlier this year in celebration of Luigi’s Mansion 2: Dark Moon reaching 3 million units in sales. It features Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi.
