Rockstar Games site update indicates GTA+ subscription service could be Switch-bound
A new update on Rockstar Games’ website has some believing that the GTA+ subscription service could be appearing on Switch.
Yesterday, it was spotted that the platform list for “Games Included with GTA+” included Nintendo’s console. However, as noted by X user TezFunz2, it is not currently used on the site. Rockstar could be planning a future announcement.
GTA+ features “a rotating assortment of classic Rockstar Games titles”. Depending on their platform, players can access Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Red Dead Redemption, and L.A. Noire. Rockstar has released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, Red Dead Redemption, and L.A. Noire on Switch so these three could be offered through the subscription service for the system.
Rockstar prominently promotes premium membership for GTA Online players as a GTA+ bonus, which provides extras including “powerful gameplay incentives, special vehicle customizations, and stylish in-game apparel options.” However, unless there’s a surprise announcement, that wouldn’t apply to Switch as GTA V was not released on the console.
