Mario & Luigi: Brothership ROM leaked online
It’s a tale as old as time – Nintendo game ROMs leaking ahead of launch, and now Mario & Luigi: Brothership is the latest victim.
The leak comes more than two weeks prior to the official release. Despite that, there’s at least one person out there who got their hands on the game early and decided to upload the entire thing online.
First-party Switch game ROMs often tend to leak online. However, this is one of the earliest instances that we’ve seen. Super Mario Party Jamboree suffered the same fate last month, but there have been plenty of other examples.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership is more of a story-heavy game, so that’s something to keep in mind. Spoilers could soon be soon finding their way on to the internet. If you’re looking to go in blind, be careful with your online presence.
Something we’ll mention from the reported leak is that the credits list is out there, and Hideki Sakamoto is confirmed to be the composer. Sakamoto actually wrote the main theme “Lifelight” for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and he’s worked on many other games.
Mario & Luigi Brothership will be available worldwide on November 7, 2024. Yesterday, we heard that the game was made with Unreal Engine 4 and Acquire handled development in partnership with Nintendo.
