Nintendo Switch Online has 34 million members

During Nintendo’s Corporate Management Policy Briefing, president Shuntaro Furukawa provided an update on how many members Switch Online has at present. Currently, the total stands at 34 million members. That’s as of September 30, 2024.

Furukawa stated that membership has increased overall since 2018, and it was “driven by titles that support online play.” It was also confirmed that there was a year-over-year decrease in membership, which he attributed to “fewer new releases in the past year focusing on online play”.

Finally, Furukawa mentioned that “the number of people opting for the higher-tier Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack has been steadily increasing since the service began in 2021.”

For those that want to dig further into numbers, the same Corporate Management Policy Briefing shared the news that the number of Nintendo Accounts has surpassed 366 million. Nintendo Account started in 2015 and is currently used for devices like Switch and mobile.
