Trombone Champ 1.30B update

Another update just went live for Trombone Champ with version 1.30B.

More songs are available with “Carol of the Bells,” “Hanukkah Oh Hanukkah,” and “Puttin’ On the Ritz! joining the playlist. Various improvements have also been implemented, including more accurate pitch bending.

The full rundown is as follows:

Trombone Champ 1.30B update patch notes

  • Three new songs: “Carol of the Bells,” “Hanukkah Oh Hanukkah,” and “Puttin’ On the Ritz!”
  • Replaced the weird logo on the home screen with the official logo used everywhere else.
  • Pitch bending is now much more accurate: the tone you hear while bending notes should almost perfectly match the tone you should hear.
  • Minimized a bunch of graphics, which may lead to slightly faster loading times.
  • When connecting multiple controllers for multiplayer, you should now see colored boxes around the player slots that correspond to the player colors in-game.
  • In the multiplayer character select screen, you now see the icons that correspond to each player.
  • In the character select screen, you can now mash the A button to progress. Previously, you had to press the Start button or manually navigate to the OK button before pressing A.
  • The window that lets you activate Practice and Turbo modes has been redesigned to be easier to navigate and understand.
  • Other optimizations, fixes, and improvements.

Trombone Champ has received a lot of post-launch support, but it looks like things aren’t done. The team says it’d “like to make rumble feel better, experiment with some methods to reduce drift, experiment with some methods that might make calibration during gameplay a bit easier.” It wouldn’t be a surprise to see even more songs as well.

Thanks to Holy Wow Studios for the patch notes. We have more information about the game here.
