Cancelled Nintendo Switch games leaked online with footage of scrapped Retro Studios game, Ridge Racer
A major Nintendo-related leak has surfaced which has brought along footage of cancelled Switch games, including Retro Studios’ unreleased title unofficially known as Project Harmony.
The findings were posted on Reddit today. It’s claimed that a number of different builds were found on a Nintendo Switch development kit, which are now making the rounds. These include:
- Old Splatoon 2 debug builds
- Rime
- Unreleased LEGO Civilization game
- Unreleased Ridge Racer prototype
- Unreleased Retro Studios game (Project Harmony)
- Arms debug build
This report backs up what we heard earlier in the year that Retro Studios was once working on a music RPG. The project was in development after the company shipped Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. After that title, Retro went a decade without coming out with a new game.
Here’s a look at the Project Harmony footage:
Bandai Namco Singapore working on a new Ridge Racer game for Nintendo Switch was also something that had been discussed years ago. Now we have a look at it thanks to footage coming from the development kit, which is available below.
The Civilization-esque LEGO game appears to be brand new here. Unfortunately, it seems to immediately crash outside of the home menu, so as of now footage is unavailable.
Thanks to Reddit for today’s news.
