Hogwarts Legacy confirmed to use DLSS on Nintendo Switch 2, more
Warner Bros. shared more details about the new Nintendo Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy this week, including confirmation that the game is using DLSS.
This marks the second game for the console confirmed to be making use of the tech. Previously, CD Projekt shared the same news about Cyberpunk 2077.
Outside of DLSS, we have a few other bits of news about Hogwarts Legacy’s graphics on Nintendo Switch 2. It’ll come with improved lighting and shadows, anti-aliasing, and more. When docked, the game has a resolution of up to 1440p. Handheld mode features full 1080p with HDR.
Whereas Hogwarts Legacy was segmented on Nintendo Switch via loading screens, those have been eliminated for the Switch 2 version. When there is loading that needs to be done, it’ll be shorter on the new console. Nintendo Switch 2 should also offer an improved frame rate.
The one piece of news some may find disappointing is that the physical version will be a game-key card. You will need 24GB of free space in order to download the title. We have a running list of all Nintendo Switch 2 games that have a game-key card release here.
We’ll also mention that a Digital Deluxe Edition is planned. This includes a Thestral Mount and Dark Arts Pack (containing Dark Arts Battle Arena, Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, and Dark Arts Garrison Hat).
