Nintendo and Amazon end their feud, first-party Switch 2 games and more now available

After another long standoff between Nintendo and Amazon, the two sides are finally working together once again.

For whatever reason, over the past year or so, it has been impossible to purchase anything sold directly by Nintendo – at least if you’re in the United States. That means the Nintendo Switch 2 console itself, recently-released and upcoming titles like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, and even new amiibo were unavailable on Amazon. Neither side commented on the situation, leaving fans to wonder why they could purchase or pre-order many of Nintendo’s products.

We’re not sure what happened, but the good news is that the feud appears to be over. For the first time in a long time, new Nintendo products are appearing on Amazon. That means you can now pre-order Donkey Kong Bananza, Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV , and Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World. Listings also show that Amazon will soon ship the new Sidon (Zelda) and Jamie (Street Fighter) amiibo.

This actually isn’t the first time that Nintendo and Amazon weren’t friendly with each other – something similar happened during the Nintendo 3DS / Wii U era. But hopefully it’s the last time. After all, we can’t imagine Amazon wanting to miss out on the potential revenue it could see with Nintendo Switch 2 given the system’s huge success so far.
