First footage of Final Fantasy 7 Remake on Nintendo Switch 2

The very first footage of Final Fantasy 7 Remake on Nintendo Switch 2 has arrived, showcasing ten minutes of action from the RPG. This comes courtesy of a playable demo at Gamescom 2025.

All of the footage is in handheld mode, and a quick glance shows that the game holds up pretty well. The only downside is that the video is off-screen as direct-feed is not available.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade launches on Nintendo Switch 2 sometime this winter. As of now Square Enix has yet to provide a proper release date, but we’ll be sure to pass that along as soon as we have it.
