September 2025 Nintendo Direct announced

A new Nintendo Direct presentation will take place on Friday, September 12, it’s just been announced. It will air at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe. This will last about 60 minutes, covering games for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

This will be the first general Nintendo Direct of the Nintendo Switch 2 era. While we did see a broadcast earlier this summer, it was a Partner Showcase focused on third-parties.

Nintendo could show off its remaining games for 2025 here, including Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – which still does not have a release date. We’re also waiting on dates from third-party titles such as Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade and Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition.

Something else to keep in mind is that the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. series is approaching. Some fans are convinced that Nintendo won’t let these next few days go by without a few announcements pertaining to the franchise.
