Kirby Air Riders amiibo price

Nintendo has shared pricing information for the Kirby Air Riders amiibo, and they will be by far the most expensive figures we’ve seen thus far.

Two new figures were revealed earlier today. Kirby & Warp Star is planned alongside Bandana Waddle Dee & Winged Star. Nintendo has teased future amiibo updates for as well, but we’re waiting to hear about what that means.

The issue right now comes down to price. If you want to pick up a Kirby Air Riders amiibo, it will cost you $50. And yes, we’re referring to a single figure. Buying both means you’ll need to shell out $100. Retailers have confirmed the price point.

For those curious about the new Metroid Prime 4 amiibo, we also have information about that. Samus & Vi-O-La is the most expensive at $40, but Samus and Sylux are $30 each. Finally, the new Super Mario Galaxy amiibo will be priced at $40 each.

All of the new amiibo are now available for pre-order at Best Buy here. You can also reserve them at Walmart (Kirby Air Riders here, Metroid here, Mario Galaxy here).

This isn’t the only piece of controversial Nintendo pricing news today. Some fans aren’t pleased with the cost of Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, which was announced in the Nintendo Direct. Buying this package costs $70, and if you decide you’d rather just get the games individually, they’re $40 each.

What do you make of the price point for the Kirby Air Riders amiibo? Let us know in the comments.
