Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage shares Nintendo Switch 2 release date, beta test incoming
Today, SEGA confirmed the release date for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage on Nintendo Switch 2 and also shared news about an upcoming beta.
The game will be ready to go on March 26, 2026. Digital and physical pre-orders are starting today. Those who purchase any version will receive the SEGA Hardware Customization Item “Genesis”, which is based on the legendary SEGA hardware.
Those who order the digital 30th Anniversary Edition ($49.99, standard is $19.99) will receive the following:
- Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage base game
- Legendary Pack DLC
- Yakuza Series Collaboration Pack DLC
- Virtua Fighter 30th Anniversary Swimsuit Costume Set, Soundtrack Collection, and Ranking Titles
- Virtua Fighter Pre-Production Artwork
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will support cross-play on Nintendo Switch 2 wit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X S, and Steam users. There’s also support for rollback netcode support, new moves and combos, balance updates, and key improvements to the training mode.
Finally, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will have an open beta on Nintendo Switch 2 starting February 19, 2026. This will focus on the network servers and cross-play performance for the game with the other available platforms. A Nintendo Switch Online subscription will be needed to access the test.
